Axolotl's back foot is red on the bottom. He's still eating and moving like normal, not showing any obvious signs of distress but I'm concerned it could possibly be red leg syndrome.
Does anyone have experience with this? Any advice or suggestions? No exotic vets nearby.

looks like a possible skin irritation, make sure that the substrate isn't too course/sharp.

Thank you. I had a moment of panic. Gave him a mild tea bath and the redness decreased significantly so thinking you may be right about irritation. I'll look into a better substrate for him.
