Red peeling skin

I posted recently about how my axie had a white finger. Well it spread to more fingers, but only on one side. I put her in the fridge for about a week, then back in the tank a week ago. Her fingers seem okay, it hasn't spread or gotten worse. However, she also had red patches on her skin which have gotten worse. What will help? I'll be putting her back in the fridge tomorrow.

Re: Red peeling skin

Looks kind of like red leg (bacterial infection)… I'm not an expert though, but from what I've seen it looks somewhat similar. You can read into it if you haven't already heard of it.

Is she housed alone? Looks like a scratch/injury of some kind. Is there any way she could have smacked it on something on the tank?
I'd do a salt bath if there was an infection/signs of infection and pop her in the fridge if she looks stressed.

I think it might be a bite or just an injury by accidentally scratching its skin whit a stone or something, axies sometimes bite eachother

Thank you for the replies. She had red marks on her limbs before I put her in the tank. The 'white finger' has also spread to the other side.
It does sound like Red leg so I'm going to try and find a vet. Until then I'll leave her in the fridge.

Found a vet to take her to, she had septicaemia. It was too far gone for treatment. R.I.P Shuichi

I'm really sorry to hear that. I'm sure you gave her a good and comfortable life. My condolences.

I am sorry for your loss. So if it was caught sooner, what could have been done to heal the axie? Just wondering for future reference.
