Regurgitated or Passed?

Ok i fed peachy (my gf's axie) 2 earth worms today probably about 4-5 hours ago, she ate them as there was no sign of them in her mouth.

Now the two worms are at the bottom on the tank all covered in brown slim, they look whole but are a bit chewed looking.

Has peachy passed the worms or regurgitated them?

If she has passed them did she get anything outta that meal?

Also if she has regurgitated them why would this be? To big a meal? or made her sick?

Sounds regurgitated to me.
Is this the same axie mentioned in another thread- new tank/new axolotl, golden albino, if I remember correctly? If she's new to the tank, it could simply be stress. I've also heard that if the temperature is too low they'll sometimes throw up food they've eaten- what's her tank like at the moment? I doubt it's too cold with you being in Australia!

Yeah same axie. Tank is probably around 20-25 degrees. She doesnt seemed stress she has been eating shrimp pellets fine, no worries there.

I'll see how she goes in next few days with eating.

Thanks for your reply.

i think that the temp is alittle high im in melb australia keep the tank at 14-18 17 being the best

It's regurgitation, you should cut the worms on their "head" part and let them bleed out for a little while. Then feed them to the axie. My axie will regurgitate them if they are wiggling around a lot. But, when I do this they can't really fight but they are still alive and he will eat them just fine with no problems.

AH I don't agree with Grant.

I think the worms were to much for the axolotl to digest and he puked it up.

My axolotls are quite large now but when they were younger they puke up worms that were to much for it or worms if I fed more than one. Si tomorrow I would try half a worm.

The heat might have something to do it with it though for your axolotl. Not sure...

Yea I'm not sure, but I'm sure thats what my axie did when he had that problem, but since I let them bleed before feeding him he doesn't have that problem.
