I have a 6 month old axolotl and he has been eating normally but a couple of days ago a gave him a bigger worm than usual and the next day I found the worm on the bottom of the tank
is this normal for axolotls to do if they are full or is he sick.

Hi Animal Man,

It sounds most likely that the worm was too big and your little axie just couldn't swallow it. You could either stick with feeding him/her the smaller worms, or you can cut the bigger ones up so they are easier to swallow.

Yup, sounds normal to me. Sometimes they come back for it later - if they can find it - but they will eject worms that are too big, or if they are full.
