Rehome Axolotl with a bump on his head?

I was given an axolotl Yesterday due to my history owning them. Wilson seems healthy, he has the right amount of energy, his water environment is fine and his temperature has always remained under 20*c

What has me concerned is this small bump on his head. I'm not sure if its a strange growth as he also has two extra toes or if its a health issue that cans be resolved.

Does anyone know?

extra toes usually caused by the feet regrowing so not unusual.
bump could be caused by it being spooked and racing into side of tank
i cannot see a bump on the image shown, the darkness of its colour makes it hard to see

Oh,, that's not his gill you're seeing on the left side of this picture. That's the lump I am talking about. I made sure to get a side view of it because of his dark colour.
