Hi everyone,

I have three axolotls. It quickly became apparent that their original home was too small (a tall 2.7ft tank, the classic led astray by the fish shop man story) after some leg biting incidents (a tail tip and a leg lost, one leg injured). Two have been living in quaranteen for a while while biter roams the big tank. I have just purchased a lovely 4ft tank which i am in the process of setting up. I am now wondering; is it safe to put them all back together, or should i keep bites-a-lot alone in the smaller tank and the two cuties in the 4ft? There is some argument for together, primarily temperature control. I want to buy a chiller but cant run one for both tanks, i can use ice bricks as i do now but temps could push as high as 35- 40C in summer which is obviously concerning even with ice packs...

Thanks for any advice :)

If you have a basement, I would put the tank there, should be able to stay colder there.

Colonel Mustard (the biting one) died unexpectedly and suddenly last night, so it doesnt really matter anymore
