Hello from Colorado. My wife found our salamander in the driveway of her work. She assumed it was either a lost or abandoned pet. We had no idea there were wild salamanders in Colorado or that it was the state amphibian. She brought him home in a box and we started doing research. We found a lot of great information online and are working hard to make sure he has the best/healthiest life possible (in captivity).
I am very grateful to have found this group and all the tips and tricks everyone shares.
Thank you for the add.

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
