Hey Leanne, here is a picture of my taricha setup that I took a few months ago. It still looks the same except my anarcharis is about 6 inches longer and I keep the water level up alot higher now. It's only about three inches from the top of the tank.

It's only a ten gallon, but my newts will get a larger one when I move out of the dorm next month. I love the plants in yours, and hope to get more myself soon. You can see the corkbark with moss on it in this picture pretty well. I try to keep things simple and when I get the larger tank will have a bare bottom like yours (maybe sand, still thinkingn about that). Anyway, enjoy.

Ali, thank you for posting the pic! That looks way huger than a 10 gallon, looks like they have a lot of space

I am going to check out the hermit crab section at PetSmart today, maybe they will have some cork bark.

Good luck Leanne, that is where I got my corkbark so you should be able to find some.


And nope, my tank is just a ten gallon. I tried to leave lots of open space because my tarichas used to swim as much as fish, but lately they just hang out in the plants so I think I'll add some more plants for cover.

Went to PetSmart, no luck so far, but will keep an eye out, like THIS eye (LOL, I kill myself sometimes, heheh
