These are the new guidelines regarding donations to Caudata.org (John Clare). I've kept them short and simple. If you've any queries, feel free to ask.
 1. Whereas the site of Caudata.org or the site owner John Clare are concerned, and in which transactions take place with John Clare as one of the transacting parties, the word "donation" is defined as a gift made without reciprocal consideration.
Donations to Caudata.org (John Clare) are not a payment for a service (see 1).
To mark the fact of your donation, your Caudata.org forum account, should you have created one, shall be given "Donor Status" for public display in each of your messages on the forum.
At any point in time, should the donor request the return of his or her donation, the donation will be refunded at the sole discretion of the site owner, John Clare.
Caudata.org and John Clare are not a charity. As such, donations are not tax deductible.
Aside from this policy, I also wish to note that, as of today Monday December 13th 2004, I will no longer grant email addresses or web space to donors as a token of my thanks. This does not affect donors prior to this date. Should earlier donors wish to avail of these facilities, I shall grant them at my discretion.

And here's another guideline:

6. In order to achieve "Donor status", a donation must be of a minimum of €4 or $5.
