Hi I'm looking to start a culture of roaches for tiger/fire sal and dart-frogs, can anyone recommend suitable roaches?
Also if roaches were to escape would they cause a problem or die off?

Cheers

Paul

They can cause a problem but its possible to get traps which seem to work.small turkish runners are often fed to dart frogs but i would suggest you contact a dart frog expert maybe at Dartfrog,co.uk they will always do thier best to help plus they sell a wide range of live food

I have just had a look and they sell - Dubai and pallida so any one of them I suppose

Cheers for the reply

Paul

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
