Hi! Does anyone know what a Rubber Newt (as it's called in the UK) is?

I have never heard that term used for any species here in the Eastern U.S., but a quick description would help identify the species...

I'm guessing that a rubber newt is a model newt (fake) made of rubber. This is the only interpretation that occurs on Google. Here are some fascinating quotes from Google:

I googled too and found the same quotes. It's a real newt, just with a problem name. I'm going to contact some agents in Britain and try to find out more. Will keep you informed.:D
 
I found out the the Rubber Newt comes from China.:cool: That's all so far!
