Salamander eyesight?

I'm wondering if salamanders have decent eyesight? My Tiger seems to have a hard time hitting his food and most the time i have to hand feed him, even then he usually ends up attached to my hand instead of the worm.

I came across this old topic while looking for the same answer. My newts love the worms I feed them with my tweezers, but when I drop one in the tank right in front of them it looks like they can't find them, they seem to be looking for them but are just too 'blind' to see them.
Is this normal and does that mean I can only feed them worms with my tweezers?

I've put in some brine shrimp a few days ago, and they seem to have found and eaten those though...
