Salamander/Frog replica Collection

! Your replica is a male?

now there's an interesting question. I'm inclined to say it's a male, based on the sleek body shape and the fact that he has a swollen, ahem, cloaca.

Maybe I can get a nice female somewhere and they can have puppies? I would give away the offspring on this site:

"CB Salamandra salamandra replicatis, robust juveniles, feed on nothing but love and fresh air, guaranteed dead arrival"

.... I feel left out now, I don't have an awesome caudate toy collection!

I do however, have a lot of candles.. does this count? Maybe? Please?

Candles? What are you going to do with candles? Maybe you can light the way!

Hey, one day, you'll be in the dark, with your cute little toys.. but I'll have candles.
I'll be the one to see the way, and you'll be all like, woah wish I had candles like The Banana!

Never heard of a guaranteed DOA before. Sounds interesting can't wait! Seems like you know your stuff.

Those are nice. I do not have any replicas of modern animals however I have an ever growing collection of prehistoric figures.

I have been surfing the net and coming across insect and dinosaur replicas. They look very appealing and I am considering insect replicas as well. Some of those fossil and prehistory replicas look amazing. Any pictures of your replicas?

THATS AMAZING! Are you trying to out do me? Win me? Beat me? Because you just did! Thanks for sharing. Where did you get those?

Here is my newest addition to the collection. All the way from England from a very nice Caudata.org member. This is one of the greatest recent gifts I've gotten lately! Can't beat a free Salamandra in the mail from across the ocean!

Thought I would drop in and make you jealous. It took me forever to dig them out of my mom's basement. :D

JESS! Your not my enemy are? Didn't you say I can have those? If you dug them up they'd be mine? Amazing!

lol don't remember saying that, but good try.

Where did you guys find your salamander toys? I've been looking for some and can never find ones as nice as the ones you guys have here, would love a Spotted and a Red.

I've seen one Spotted Salamander sculpture on Ebay but no toys or replicas. It was expensive. Maybe someone else can help you out with that. Some good toy companies are Kaiyodo and Safari LTD. Some laboratory supply companies have decent wildlife replicas meant for educational use but nothing wrong with any of those items sitting in your living room. I remember one place selling dissected Bullfrog and Mudpuppy replicas.

Cool toys :) I cam across a dinosaur toy forum while I was doing an assesement...
