Hey everyone, the other day, I finally decided to go check out what looked like it might be a stream down the road from my house off a dirt road, and I found out its actually a really long stream, it is completely covered by trees and plants so doesn't really get any direct sun but was really pretty, and it had a couple small water falls in it the biggest one was 3 feet or so, I do believe it to be spring fed and I had brought my nets, and and containers so I could take pics of anything I found but I was only able to get one good picture before my phone died, and I was hoping someone could help me ID this little guy I found.

I was walking along the stream, and there were some fast moving areas, and I found a slower moving area with some rocks so I started to turn some over some rocks and that's when I saw him dart out and start swimming down stream a few feet so got him with my net but it was in the water. I live in south west georgia, maybe the location will help with identifying it.
Hopefully someone has and idea of what it might be :)

I took as many pictures of it as I could to help with identifying it, made sure my phone was charged this time lol

About ten feet up the stream I found these little guys, maybe they are the same kind just larvae

Again I took as many pics as I could to try and help ID them lol but one thing I think might help ID the larvae is that around their eyes are black, that's the only distinguishing thing I have noticed on them, hopefully the pics help, and can't wait to did out what they are, thank you to everyone who helps :)

The one in the second picture is the same as the one in the first picture, it just has a shorter tail cause something bit it or something

Thank you everyone! I love going out and finding a critter, and finding out what it is, researching it, talking to other people ect. It's all part of the hunt lol

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
