Salamander not eaten in 2 weeks and healthy

Hi I'm new here because I joined like, a few weeks ago. Anyways I was wondering if anyone has any info for some salamanders that I haven't seen eat in 2 WEEKS! I mean I donhave slugs in there to give it more of that natural feeling but I've been noticing that the slug population is slightly going down every night. I just put some meal worms in there for him last night and notice that I don't see most of them in there still. Also I found my salamanders wild and they are both ambystoma macrodactylum, Long toed salamanders. They really loves to sit under the peice of wood I put in there for them. I do see him slightly move toward the slugs and mealworms in there every time he sees one but I haven't seen him actually ever eat some. Every time I actually put a insect, slug, worm, mealworm, etc, he looks at it, I put it down for him, and he walks right over it. And he has been doing the same thing for like 1-2 weeks. Please help. I really don't want them to die because I just got them. Any help would be very much appreciated.
