Salamander

Help, my salamander stopped eating. I picked him up today to check his weight etc and I noticed what looked like white dots. On closer inspection they are alive and moving!!!!! What the hell are they and how do I get them off?

What type of salamnder is it? Could you please post some pictures of the White things and the actual animal.
