Salamanders or Newts in Houston?

Just wondering if anyone had any luck finding any Salamanders in or around Houston Texas? I myself have not. Or maybe if anyone can share a site that can inform me of the local amphibian fauna around here. I've also had no luck with such a thing on the internet.

The majority of Texas salamanders are subterranean or confined to spring-heads. I can't provide any specifics, but would suggest a Texas field guide as a good starting point.
