They are gorgeous,i don't have any sals of my own yet but hopefully will do pretty soon and those are the ones i like best!
 
very nice animals, why do you keep them in that light spectrum or is it just the photo?
 
The photo does make the light appeaar more pinkish that the human eye does but it is a bulb quite high in the red spectrum. It is a bulb for planted aquariums which are usually high in red.

All my tanks have a timed phtoperiod except the salamanders and i only usually switch it on when i am feeding them, only so i can see them better. They now recognise the light as a feeding cue and quite often walk out of their hiding place expecting me to start dropping in worms when the light comes on.
