christined - Feeder fish from the pet store are not a good idea. They can carry parasites and disease and give it to your axolotl.
Axolotls can have a hard time catching fish and shouldn't have fish living with them as the fish can nip the axolotls gills.
You should offer variety in your axolotls diet to keep them healthy. Earth worms, salmon or trout pellets, an occasional cricket are all usually accepted foods. Home raised healthy feeder type fish are ok but not as the only food.

Juvy axolotls can be fed daily, as they mature feeding a small amount everyday or a larger amount every other day to once every 3 days is fine.
