Saving my cycle during the move!

Hi all

I just secured a new job so in two weeks Im moving! Exciting!

But my question is, my tank should finish cycling this week - its almost there! So how can I transport my "cycle" without killing it off? Its a three hour drive but heat shouldnt be a problem.

My plan is to put all the ornaments and substrate in bags of tank water and keep the filter full (its a canister). Would this save the cycle? Should I also save like 50% of the tank water to put in at the other end? Thanks for your help

Skip saving the water. I rarely bring more than 5 gallons, and that's only what's in the bucket to keep ornaments and substrate wet. As long as you keep everything moist, it should preserve your bacteria.
