Ok so, first thing, I worked like 6 days in a row last week, all closing shifts, so I wasn't around my axolotl a lot. I came home on my 5th day and saw she had a bloody cut in her tail. The one photo I attached shows it. Does it look like it's healing well? It looks like she was swimming through all her drift wood and either got stuck or got spooked and brushed off some of her tail fin.
Second thing, see her gills? See the one on her left side, the uppermost one. The one that curls. Why does it curl? It's always curled like that. It's got poor circulation, and is usually always white and she has a hard time growing filaments there. Is this just her life, a chronic problem she will have or is something wrong? I mean, she's always had it. She's like 3 years old in a week so I doubt it's going to change.
Final thing, she's still eating, still using the bathroom. Still swimming around lazily like she always does. No change in behavior. I just don't know about her curled gill stalk. It worries me.
