Setting up a vivarium

i need some help here but please can you try and be a bit simple i need help setting up a vivarium for 1 fire salamander is 1 and a half foot long enough and i want to use soil/compost can anyone advise a certain one also i heard they like it cool so do i need a fan on it also does he need a light last but not least what plants are good to use that need very little light in damp conditions thankyou in advance
 
Hi, I can not give you answers to all of your questions, but for the soil, I suggest ground coconut fiber, its sometime called bed-a-beast, sometimes it called other stuff, but it looks like a brick of brown stuff, you put it in water, and it expands, its awesome. As for plants, I use pothos and stuff. Normally, and houseplant will work well in a vivarium. I love fire sals, good luck!
 
where would you suggest goin for the stuff can i even get it in england
 
is that an english site or american because i live in england
 
it looks american but the petsmart chain is over here.
