Sexing salamandra

Hi, I was wondering how large a S.s.salamandra has to be before I can sex it? Also, what are some ways I can sex it other. Than the conventional way?
 
Really they need to be 4-5 inches long, but sometimes sooner, but no guarantees at those sizes!!

Hi,

if you try sexing them this early, it often happens, that "females" will turn out as males later...
