Shanjing - two little things

Afternoon, all... two quickies...
1) One of my T. shanjing colony (not the big one bought from you, JC) has started to turn a darker brown (orange bits included) and is starting to look quite leathery. He is bright-eyed, active, eating and "social"... but is this a sign of (health) problems to come?
2) Did anyone notice - or am I just being pedantic - the latest edition of UK mag "Reptile World" - article on Temperate Amphibians, p12 - "Emperor Salamander (T. verrucosus)" and a picture of shanjing. Sloppy? Unhelpful?

1) Is it spending more time in the water than usual?

2) Sloppy. These two species have been separated for 9 years.
