Hi!

At the moment, I have cabomba and come other plant I don't know the name of in the tank.

I'm looking for some shorter, 'leafy' plants to place in the tank. Any suggestions? I'm afraid my plant knowledge is attrocious!!!

In addition to the wonderful suggestions above, I'd like to add one of my favorite aquatic plants ever (I have 3), which happens to fit the description of "short stemmed" and "leafy":

Cryptocoryne wendtii v. 'Tropica' (a.k.a. Crypt Wendtii Bronze)
Type: Rosette
Care: Easy
Lighting: Low
pH: 6-8

You can get them online for about $3.

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
