Shrinking gills, won't eat, morphing??

Hi, my 3 year old axolotl hasn't eaten in a week and is starting to become very skinny. I have tried to give her meal worms, earth worms, blood worms, and chicken liver and she refuses all of it. I'm getting very worried and hope someone can help me. She has also lost her fluffy gills and they are shrinking. She is in a 20 gallon long and I always filter and let the water sit before putting it in. On Monday i put a very low dosage of melafix in the tank but it doesn't seem to be helping. I have also done a water test and everything seemed to be good. I'm not sure if she is morphing or is sick. Any advice would help.

Hi there,

Can you tell me your water parameters and the temperature?

Your tank looks a bit dirty. How often do you clean it?

I'd also remove those stones as some of them look the right size to be very easily swallowed.

Her gills shrinking are a sign of poor water quality.

Your girl also looks more like a boy.

I clean her tank about once a week her tank may have looked cloudy in these photos because of the melafix I put in her tank. she has a filter in there as well. I am changing to sand soon as soon as possible. She has just started eating earthworms again. Which is good. I always thought she was a boy but then she layed eggs so I had to separate her from my male axie. She had never had the best gills even when I bought her her gills weren't great but they have been a lot worse lately. I will post water parameters tomorrow. Thx for the feedback��

I am also buying an API tester kit because I have heard the strips aren't the best and that's what I've been using.
