Sick axo? I need some advice

Hi---I think Axl Bubba isn't feeling very well. We had him on gravel and recently switched to sand---too late. He pooped out gravel the other day. He's a leucistic and his gills look really dark now and his body looks bloodshot---any ideas? Please help!

Have you tested your tankwater and what is the temperature?

You'll probably find he'll poop out a lot more gravel over the next few weeks/months (ours still poo the odd piece of gravel after 16months of not being on it).

The temp is 68 the water quality is fine. He looks better today and seems to feel better too. He ate part of a worm and he hasn't felt like eating in several days. I am keeping my fingers crossed!! Thanks for the help!
