I recently made another thread asking for advice as my axolotl has suddenly lost all of the fronds on her gills really suddenly.

I followed everyone's advice and today got the water tested, but all results came back normal. However, the woman at the shop suggested to put her in the fridge for five minutes to slow her down and start the healing. This seems like a really short time to me, and I don't completely trust that store, and I thought that changing her temperature to quickly like that could stress her out even more.

Is that a good idea?? My axolotl currently still looks really bad and hasn't eaten for several days, she's coming up to the surface quite a lot too. Any advice for me please?

I know things are a bit different water wise between UK and the States - but here in the States, fridging is ONLY when we are trying to stave off death.

I know you said the water tested fine - but i'm curious in what the results were - and did the store use strips or liquid?
