Sick axolotl

I have had my little one around a year and 8 months .

I have had no problems until around 2 days ago…

He suddenly stopped eating and as a result is getting thinner by the day. I’ve changed their diet to see if they will eat but to not joy.

All tank parameters are as they should be.

I did a 50% change on Friday and they where fine with it as usual

They also have started to lay upside down at the bottom of the tank. This started over night .

I’ve tubbed him and he still doesn’t eat, he continues to produce waste though.

If anyone has any advice it will be greatly appreciated.

what are the water levels ie.. temperature, ph, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, kh and gh if possible.
what if any substrate is used ie.. sand etc..
what is the normal food?, what food have you tried?
what chemicals used ie.. dechlorinator etc..
what if any salts/minerals used.
any visible signs of illness/stress, a picture might help
make sure that the water is shallow enough so as to prevent him from rolling.

Temp is anywhere from 15-17 degrees .
Ph is 7.2
Ammonia is 0
Nitrite is 0
Nitrate is in between 0 - 5.00

I usually feed a mix of blood and earth worms .
I tried some pellets that I sometimes give him.
No substrate .
I use api dechlorinator
No salt or minerals

There was no signs of stress , tail was fine and gills where fine.

He was still active until the mentioned few days ago.

He still isn’t eating, just done a water change in the tub.

Not eating can often be the first sign of stress. Tail and gills follow. What's the hardness of your water? I'm thinking there could be issues with the hardness if there are no minerals. @wolfen generally recommends Holtfreter's solution to fix that issue.

ph is a bit on the low side so yes I would recommend using holtfreters which would improve ph, kh and gh.
soft water which is low in salts and minerals can make axolotls unwell.
make sure to do daily water changes whilst he is tubbed, dechlorinating the water before adding the water, using an air-stone in the tub will help, keep the tub cool, closer to 15°c or lower if possible (not fridged)
