The white areas? Could be vitiligo. If so, not a problem and also not something you can cure.

The pictures aren't clear, though, so I'm not sure if there is a slime-coat issue or not. Plus, there might be something "wrong" with the gills - they are on the stumpy side. (Some axies have pretty stumpy gills even when there is nothing wrong with them.) So, lets pretend there is something wrong with your axie (even though there might not be) and ask questions.

What are your water parameters (ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, pH and temperature)? Any other tank mates (particularly, any fish that could be picking on the gills)? Can you get more pictures? (If you can get some side and top pictures, we can tell you if you have a he or a she.)

She had another axolotl tank mate growing up who passed in a recent move. The tank has been running for years. I'll admit it hasn't been tested in awhile but I can do that tomorrow. She is with another axolotl now who has been in the tank for 3 weeks now and is doing fine. She has had this coloring for a few years. I adopted her after her previous owner no longer wanted her. Just wanna make sure I'm taking the best care of her. Also a confirmation on her sex would be great.

Those could be vitiligo or you might have a mosaic - I'm not sure. Perhaps some other people may know. (Mosaics are considered "cool". I'm leaning towards mosaic.)

I tentatively think she is a she. Can you get a picture straight from the side?

Definitely check the tank parameters, especially if you moved recently.

Thanks for your help. hope this one is better.

Definitely a girl.

If she has always had this coloring, then I think she is a mosaic. If it has developed in the past few years, it is probably vitiligo as Laura suggested. In any event, it's probably nothing to worry about. But I am glad you checked... because you never know, right?

Talked with some people who knew her before. So when she was small (no back legs) it wasn't noticeable but as she's grown older it became more so. If it is vitilago will it worsen?

Maybe, maybe not. It won't hurt your axie - she's not in the wild where strange marking would get her eaten by predators.
