Hello everyone, I have a problem with my tiger, shows these dots blacks, all over the body, I have read several threads about it, that spoke of a lack of balance of the normal bacterial colonization of the skin, now do not know what to do, what known that when changing the skin, the spots go for a day or two and then reappear, I am attaching pictures, I hope you can help me, eat voraciously and is regularly active. is now in a hospital tank

How moist are its regular tank conditions? Also what substrate were you keeping it on? It could be from a ph issue.

Well he has made the metamorphosis from about a month before he was in a tank with water and stones emerged but the water has an alkaline pH. > 7.5

Well what substrate is he on now? Air temperature?

If I remember correctly this may be linked to the substrate being too moist. It may be worth trying to keep your tiger on a dryer substrate.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
