Sketch-o-lotl

Oh I almost forgot this thread!

I have some new axolotl related drawings to keep this thread alive :D

Better and better Morrison! Lurve them!

I suppose I should also keep the ol' creative side up, and certainly have a lot of it planned - work keeps getting in the way though. Pfft.

(I don't know why but my pics are all a bit squished again. I blame imgur)

Todays little adventure:

Firstly, burn a silk screen with a repeating pattern of, oh, I dunno, an axolotl or sommat. Wash it out, wait impatiently for it to dry:

Rack it up:

PULL:

Make a spare or two:

CONSTRUCT:

This is why I have hands which are now mostly orange and covered in glue (which I just realised I hadn't cleaned off the frame of the change purse before I took eager photos.

Now if only I actually had some cash to put in it... ;)

Oh wow, you should sell those on eBay! :D

All of you have a creative side, and I'm loving it!

Morrison, my eleven yr old Davy has a best friend Hudson. He and his brother Houston play the sax... Wonder if I could afford a print of your saxolotl? Their Mom is a good friend of mine as well :)

I sometimes make "batiks" of sugar gliders... I will have to try my hand at an axolotl batik and post the results :p

Loving all this art! I just had to put this up. A friend's mum painted it for our recent wedding/handfasting and I felt it just had to be posted.

So after going through this thread a couple days ago and ogling everyone else's art, I knew I had to whip up something too! So this is the product of being bored at work today:

The only reference I had was a little picture on my phone, so I'll have to try again later with a better quality reference.

We need more axie art!
Here's something I made recently to keep this thread alive.

Remember the tattooed axolotl I made a few years ago? I made a version 2 because I hated the first one. I couldn't find it anymore so I made a version 2.2. And decided to make a colored and black & white version. I actually drew them twice and colored them with markers. On A5 paper, so it's pretty huge as well.

But it's done, finally:

My wife is learning to crochet, she wants to make one :)

I actually have the pattern for sale in my etsy store, and I plan on listing the three that I have finished for sale in the next couple of days. You'll be able to find both here!

Darn those cute hungry monsters

This is Saskia thinking she is skydiving and that the blue is the sky and the brown is the earth when in reality the blue is the water and the earth is the sand in her own tank. Sage is hiding in his plants thinking "uh huh sure. We never left the tank!." lol
