Skin peeling

Because you doubled the amount of stress coat in the tank, you've added to the bioload. This allows for more food available to whatever little critters live in your tank, hence the explosion in microorganisms.

I highly doubt the 'worms' are doing the damage. They're likely planaria, nematodes, or glassworms, or something similar.

i still don't like the worms. Ive seent hem land on her and she has tiny red spots here and there, it might be from them! I have now seen an explosion of eggs from the worm things in the tank coating everything. I scarpped down the glass, tommorow i will change the water completely and scrub down everything. I plan to continue until not one worm is left. They fill the water with white lines, its annoying and it looks like the eggs are fungus- but theyre not. so my tank looks diseased. I don't know why she is shedding...ive stopped feeding her daily as she is over 20cm so i feed her every couple of days. Maybe she's starving and so she is shedding? I don't know but i feel sorry for her so if i take the worms away it will make me feel better. How can i be sure of exactly what these little worms are???

actually i wont do that!!! ive been doing some research and i do not want to have another cycle!!!
Ok, so ive decided i will change 50% of the water dayly and scrub a few items at a time. Siphoning the tank everytime, and be immacualte in my cleaning of the tank. That's my new plan, ill tell you how it turns out if i remember. Also a tip....do ot disturb the surface of the water for a day or so and the little guys cling to the surface...i did this and ten used a container to slowly skim the surface of water. It means yu take out less water and more worms that just aiming at the tank water!

Someone told me really young axolotls can shead their skin as they grow. If thats true perhaps that's it.

HA YES! Thankyou! Now i know for sure! thats great!
omG I NEaRlY DiEd Of wOrRy!
thankyou!

oh thats great! i did a 90% water change and scrubbed most of the eggs off just to get rid of the bulk of these worms, they just annoy me! lol. So its under control now! ill stop worrying now! lol....her gills are abnormally deep blood red...im assuming co zbreathing throught her skin it blocked with dead skin cells so shes reverting to her gills now......just a guess tho.
its good to know shedding hte skin is normal, i knew of it but i thought it was more like a snake shedding for some reason...like they skin would come off in one piece! Oh wellz....thanx! ill worry less now!
