Hi y’all. I have a question. I’ve had my axolotl over a year now. We have been struggling with water issues due to KH and GH being non existent in my tank. Well I fixed that and all my other issues were fixed. But now I’m left with a new issue. Every time I do a water change, she sheds a little bit of her slime coat.
none of the products I use contain aloe.
the only new items I use is the stuff to adjust the KH and GH. But no aloe in there. I use prime for water conditioner, I use a hair more than I’m probably suppose to. The cap is hard to measure out correctly, so I tend to add more than not enough.
could prime cause the slime coat to shed? I also use John solution in my tank.
So I’m at a loss and I don’t want her to be uncomfortable.
