Small scar-like wound??

This is just a wild guess, but I have a little bag of 'Electrolyte Powder' that I've been giving to one of my lizards. It's for use in times of stress and dehydration. Just wondering if it would be worth throwing some in Fig's salt baths. Here's a link: Store
 
It might be worth a try, I was starting to wonder if the salt baths were dehydrating her after such a long period? My little pyrrho was still eating earthworms throughout the treatment, so would have got a degree of moisture from those. At this stage of the game it may even do her good to spend the night in clean fresh water with a few plants etc to flush her system through? I'm not a vet though, so i'm just guessing but I can't see it doing any harm.
 
Left some elodea and a small clump of whiteworms in there overnight, and when I woke up this morning I found that she'd left me a little black present on her island... Hopefully that means she ate.

She's looking a lot better now that she's hydrated. Whether she's eating or not, she's definitely not skinny anymore. The sores are still the same size, however.

To be honest i think she looks swollen now, it really doesn't seem like she'll recover as that kind of swelling often means organ (renal?) failure. Maybe it would be kindest to make her as comfortable as possible and let nature take it's course?
 
Oy... Well, I suppose I'd like some other people's opinions now if anyone has anything to say. I'll give her one more Neosporin treatment and leave her in water starting tonight. Sigh. Hoped it wouldn't have come to this.

Edit: She ate one 1.5cm piece of earthworm.
 
I was unable to apply anything to her stomach. The ointment just slid right off. I don't know if she was wet, or if her skin was stretched...
 
Yes, i'd like to hear another opinion as well, I could be totally wrong, maybe it's the photo that's making her look swollen? If she's started to eat earthworms maybe she can recover?

Edit: I was hoping it wouldn't come to this as well. Could you get some better pictures?

I can try. She was on land last night, but has been in the water hunting whiteworms all morning. I don't think she can swallow very well, however. Whenever she swims, she seems to have trouble balancing.

Edit: Here's a picture from above. Can't get anything of her from the side at the moment.

I'm pretty much out of ideas now, on one hand there's the ulcerated skin, poor coordination and bloat/swelling, but on the other it seems wrong to give up on an animal that's feeding reasonably well. I don't know what else you could have done to improve her chances other than take her to a herp vet, but there would certainly be no guarantees though, even then!

Btw, I saw your wanted add, If you weren't on the other side of the Atlantic I would have sent you a couple of my juveniles for free.
 
She passed away quietly last night... I'll be watching the others for signs of illness. Thanks Chinadog, for all your help throughout the past few weeks.
 
Your very welcome mate, I don't think there was anything else you could have done to help her, at least she isn't suffering any more.
 
Good question, I think I would throw them away for piece of mind. Although I think you can sterilise plants in salt water but I've never tried it.
