Small verrucosus eating woes

It certainly remains a struggle to get small T. verrucosus morphs to eat. The maggot has to move, but not too fast, nor should it crawl underneath something.. On average I am presenting a single maggot 2 to 3 times before it's being eaten. But, they eat.. about 1 maggot each a day so far.
How different is the attitude of the bigger morphs. They stay in or near the water and can still dive. I'll have to watch them more closely over the next few days to see if they're still eating chopped worms.

(small morphs are 5cm, big morphs are 6.8cm)

In this picture the largest of the small morphs is compared to the newly morphed.

Here another picture of the conditions the larvae are being kept in. There are still two animals with a full set of gills. There's about an inch of water in the setup. The lid has been removed for the photo.
