Well I have two newts that are of different species. I was supposed to have two the same so they would be company for each other.... Anyway will these two living separately be lonely? The little orientalis is minute in size just a baby? Surely he must be lonely. Makes me feel so sad xx

They are often found in the same areas, for food and reproduction, they are not truly social. They will be completely happy alone with no competition for food. They arent social primates like us. We too often think in terms of "what we would like" when considering our animals livelihood. My female cynop females would probably love to have a tank devoid of annoying males harassing them all the time......my wife probably feels the same from time to time. :D
