Did you study the behaviour of axolotls Edward? If that is the case then they must be pretty smart little creatures? How do you get into studying the behaviour and just general studying of axolotls?

Actually I study a lot of animals and I pay attention to thier behaviors as an indication of how well they are doing.
What people do not realize that basic behaviors can often transend taxa so you can have food operant conditioning in fish, amphibians, reptiles, mammals and birds...
If you want to read up on animal behaviors there are a lot of text books out there that will do a much better explination than me.
