My little axolotl is being shipped next week, and I'm trying to get a few things finished up before it gets here.
Its currently the dead of summer with temps easily getting over 100F some afternoons. My tank is holding steady at 68-70F right now without a fan or any chilling methods. Is this temp ok? I know 60-64F is ideal, but will this slightly higher temp be too much?

It may depend on the axolotl, but my axy is ok with temps around there. You may want to try chilling methods like a fan and lots of water surface movement.
Axys like the cold, but will not survive constant changing temperatures, so you should make sure that when it gets hot during the day, the tank temperature doesnt suddenly sink at night, and vice-versa because this is what will hurt the axy.

(cant promise ill be active on this site again for too long)
