Something wrong with axie's tail?

Hello everyone:

My axolotl Hermes was perfectly fine yesterday, but today when I took a look at him his tail was weird! The tissue on the tip of his tail looks like it is dying or something... it turned white and became see-through and it looks like the tissue might be getting ready to fall off. All over night!

I'm really worried about my little guy. Any advice? What should I do?

(I'm attaching some pictures, but I've never included a photo on a post before; sorry if I mess it up the first few times)

Also: his behavior hasn't changed from what's normal. And he's not acting stressed (at least not yet).

These things happen. More often than not. It looks like you have lots of rocks and stuff in there with him. These sorts of injuries happen when axies get "the rips" which is those times where they swim around their tank like crazy and bump into or thrash against stuff.

Best advice is get him into a nice clean, bare hospital tank and wait a few weeks. (A ten gallon tank is perfect for this.) Keep the water clean and cool and all will be well.

Are you sure it's not some type of fungus or anything? :-S

It doesn't look too fluffy or anything so most likely not fungus, as said above its probably just the result of a crazy lotl' silly little things they are

As said, just looks like a little accident from thrashing Fungus is really easy to identify as it has a very odd appearance (almost like cotton wool!) It should heal up nicely.
