Illness/Sickness: Spaghetti is sick

Anyone else find it odd thats its in a ring just around his face? Is there anything he could have gotten his face stuck in that would have maybe opened the skin up for this?

I put some cool tea in with him. He seems to be barely hanging on. It kinda looks white and fuzzy. I was wondering if that meant fungus? I'm desperate and haven't been able togfind a vet to see him.

White and fuzzy could be fungus, but I'm guessing it could also be dead skin peeling off - can you post another photo?
Is he fridged? It might buy him some time.

I don't think he got his face stuck. He was in the fridge until now and that seemed to stop it from progressing . I'm treating him with melafix and maracyn at the advice of someone who has axolotls. I'm hoping that this helps. I'm at a loss for what else to do

Is he any better, Spaghetti?
If you can, try taking a picture of him with the fuzzy white stuff. If it's cottony it may well be fungus and he will need to be salt bathed but don't do this unless you are 100% sure it's fungus, otherwise it will make him worse. I can't comment on either of the medications but be aware that a lot of them aren't safe for axxies.

Keep trying to feed him, and the fridge with 100% cleans everyday sounds like the best course for now.
