I have a spotted salamander that I have had for about 2 years now. He has been acting unusually and I am not sure what is wrong with him, if anything. He usually eats 3x a week but he hasn't been very interested in food lately and is only eating about once a week. He seems to be a little lethargic; he is moving around but not as much as usual. When I pick him up he usually is very squirmy and now when I pick him up he moves around a little but not much. He also usually hides under his log but now he is just hanging out in the open. I have looked him over and I didn't see any sores on him. He does not look bloated and his eyes are not cloudy. So he looks healthy but is acting differently. Any ideas? Should I be concerned?

Hi
Could it be the higher summer temperatures? Is there enough humidity/water for him to keep damp?

I was thinking that it might be because of the increase in temperature as we are getting closer to summer. I live in Florida so there is plenty of humidity. I spray his cage daily and he has a water bowl. It just seems weird that he wasn't like this last summer when it got hotter. Plus I always thought that they eat more during the summer.
