Did you allready had eurycea offspring? My bislineata female is full of eggs but still not laying...

Funny how a lot of pleths, or is it most lungless sals, fill up with eggs and never lay. Theres eggs in two of the long tails and i've got all my fingers crossed.
 
Did you raise the Eurycea or get them as adults? I've got what I think are Eurycea larvae and am wondering about time till metamorphosis...
 
Oooh, very nice guttolineata-I'm jealous. I've got a young longicauda now that I've had since it was a larva. If your females do lay any eggs, please let me know. So little is known about their reproduction that I'd be very curious to get some details on oviposition, even if it's in captivity.

    Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

    Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
