Hello! I've had my Siren Lacertina, Nessy:love:, since April and just love her to pieces! She's about ten inches long now and things are going swimmingly. Recently I've noticed that sometimes when she goes up to the surface, she makes a little squeaky sound. Is this normal? I'm not too worried because she seems fine but I figured I'd ask. I don't think this is a "bark" like what I've heard other salamanders supposedly do... so what is it?

I hardly know anything about sirens, but it looks like they are somewhat vocal, especially around other sirens. Not an expert opinion by any means, but I would guess she's just saying hi.
