Hi all! I've had my axie for a little over a year now and he has always eaten frozen/thawed bloodworms in a little shell turned upside down. I recently moved him to a much needed larger tank, but every time I try to put the bloodworms in, they separate and float everywhere, making a huge mess and my axie gets hardly any (he likes to hang out on the floor). I tried an earthworm for the first time and it just scared the poor guy. I left it in there for a couple days, but my axie never ate it, so I took it out. I would be comfortable feeding live, but I can't bring myself to cut up the earthworm alive, and it seems too large and scary for my axie without cutting it up. I've been reading how good earthworms are for axies, so I'm wondering if there's any way I could still feed worms without having to cut the worms up alive? And/or a way to feed frozen/thawed without my current issues and/or how to feed other live stuff that would be good for my axie? From doing my research on here, he seems a little thin, so I want to try to get him fattened up a bit to a healthy size. Thanks!

If it makes you feel better, there's a couple articles I read somewhere saying that worms don't feel pain when being cut up.
With the issue of bloodworms getting everywhere, you could try a feeder jar? Such as a simple cup or something you would place the bloodworms into and lower into the tank to keep it all in a single area.
