I've had my two axyls for 2 months and i love them heaps, but one of them has swollen up in her tummy and i don't know what to do? i'm very scared because i had one a year ago that got very sick and swollen and died, but I made all round improvements in their home before getting more... I can't go through losing a second one! What should i do??? Please...}}

more info needed ?
ie: size of tank, has it been cycled properly ?
what kind of substrate, sand/gravel ? do u test ur water, ph/nitrate/nitrite/ammonia ? how often and what do u feed ?
if u have a camera, a photo would be good ?

whats on the bottom? sand? or gravel.. cant really tell from that pic... and if it is gravel you can bet youll have more clogged up axies to come.. nice tank though!!

If they can ingest the gravel, absolutely positively get the gravel out! Eating gravel can kill them. The animal doesn't look bloated to me. It may simply be constipation due to gravel.
