Joan - Thanks so much for letting me know! I'm going to keep an eye on it for a while longer. Tonight for some reason it looks smaller, or maybe my eyes are just tired. if it it not better by the 15th, I might try and take him into the vet. He's eating like a pig now hehe

Something interesting though, I thought he was black. He's actually the exact same color as my gray wild type, except he does not have any golden spots, and his eyes are black, no gold rings. He's very unique looking! I love him!

To Everyone - I am so happy every day to know that there are people out there who care about their animals to concider them family. To me, all of my animals are family, nothing less. I hate seeing people show cruelty to animals, or abandon them in the cold, kittens and puppies, birds and other animals. Thank you to all of you who care so much, it really makes the world a better place

to rheann- i hear ya about that animal cruelty stuff... i once saw a small boy kicking a kitten when i was walking home from school one day, i was probably around 13 and he would have been no older than 7. i walked up to him and said 'oi, dont kick that kitten!' i then kicked him real hard and took off running as fast as i could (i think his parents were outside and heard me/saw me). i was so proud of myself but pretty scared i was guna get told off... but that little kitten got revenge in the form of my foot!

Bijou, the little kitten that my husband and I got a few months ago was abandoned outside our apartment. She was 4 weeks old, very under weight and dehydrated.

I was taking an afternoon nap because I had just cleaned the house from top to bottom and was feeling rather tired. I woke up to the sound of cries and at first thought it was an injured bird. When I looked out my window, I saw two people talking to this kitten and then put it down on the ground. The Kitten was screaming and screaming for them to come back and get her, she was so frightened it was so sad.

I was so angry, and I knew what was happening, but I heard what the people had said and had an even stronger feeling of what was happening. I ran outside and the people were long gone. The kitten was much too small to be out there on her own and just a mess! I couldn't understand how anyone could be so cruel, she was so afraid and had no idea who I was, but wanted me to pick her up.

I looked around and waited for another minute to see if anyone would come back... and no one did of course so I picked her up and ran her into the house. I got her fed on kitten formula and young kitten food for several weeks after that because she was so skinny and now she is a very big kitten, happy, hyper and full of life, and I also think eternally thankful that we took her in and kept her

We've had her for several months and she is just the most lovable kitten I have ever had and just loves to be cuddled. I don't understand why someone could abandon her like that, but then again there are some really ghetto people living at our apartment complex, and they even through their garbage over the fence behind our apartments because they are too lazy to take it to the re-cycling or the trash. I guess to them the kitten was trash too...

She's part of the family now. I've tried to see if I could find the people again who did this to her, but I never saw their faces, only heard them, but I do remember some features about them, and I will still nail them for animal neglect and cruelty if I ever see them again. They will pay for what they did

It doesn't really matter where you find animal cruelty, it's always going to happen from the streets to the pet shops. The only things we can do in this world is try and do our parts to make it better.

thx for the replies about my new pup guys i love him

he's a little terror though lol, hes into everything, went out and brought lots of toys today in my lunch break to keep him occupied

and to stop him bitting me lol, i cant walk near him without him attacking my feet, so got him some chewy toys etc..

a lady at work photo copied the rainbow bridge for my when my Sabre died, i thought it was so considerate of her and it made me feel so much better reading it

i was trying to find a copy for Rheann & Sharn, but i couldnt remember the name and couldn't find my copy

so thx for that Donna i will copy it and re-print a copy now

it's such a great story.....

P.S good on u for saving ur cat Rheann

there are some crewl people out there hey, they must have real psychological problems to be able to do this ! and should be locked up !!!

I wanted to try and start a chat, but it is hard because everyone lives at different time zones lol.

At this time, there is no interest by the powers that be in creating off topic chat areas as there are enough off content sites for this purpose.
The opinion is that these topics can be handled off list via e-mail, pms or on a different forum.
