I've had my axolotl for around a year or 2 and I'm recently seeing these very strange little black algae  balls? I looked into it and found something about Black Beard Algae but when looking at images of black beard algae it doesnt seem to grow the same way as what I have here. i'm looking for answers here cause I would not like if it is harmful to my dear amphibian.

It doesn't look like the black beard algae I know, but I admit I wouldn't know what else it is.
It probably is an algae though (unless you have pieces of food lying around it probably isn't a fungus at this size).

Most of these algeas are not harmful to axolotls, so that's good.
However, they are caused by things that can be harmful to axolotls, most often imbalances in water parameters.
Do you have any recent readings of Nitrites and Nitrates in your aquarium?

And Nitrate is on 5.0ppm

Very curious!
Does it only grow on that one specific decoration, or other spots too?
