Hi guys, this is pixie my golden albino boy he's about 10 in and is almost a year and a half old. so recently I have noticed this strange brown patch underneath his tail a little bit down from his cloaca, it has been there for a couple of weeks now so I'm sure it's not just poop that's got stuck but I have tried to research and see what this might be but I haven't found anything like it so far so no clue whether I should be worried or not, otherwise he seems really happy and healthy as always. (I know it's not so easy to see but you can see it in his reflection on the bottom of the tank

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
