I just collected some wild Daphnia but they don't like to swim. They swim to the sides of the bucket and just hang there or just lay on the bottom. Anyone know what species acts like this?

I was given an ID by email. Thanks go out to SludgeMunkey and Micheal. They both believe them to be Simocephalus vetulus Simocephalus vetulus They are known for this behavior and are loved by all caudata species.

I think i have the same species in my culture, they spend most of the time on the side of the tank and move only when teased.

Just curious where did you harvest them from? I have been searching for two months in western pa with no luck.
